Being Grateful

I've never been an overly sappy person, emotional yes, sappy no!   Since having children however, I've noticed a distinct change in certain aspects of my personality . . . I now become sappy when celebrating any event involving my children because I'm unbelievably grateful for the people in our lives and how they take time out of theirs to help celebrate our children's mild stones.

So thank to our parents, grandparents and siblings who drove from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.  Thank you for our friends who flew from Arizona and Illinois and spent their vacation with our family.  For others who drove up and back to Northern Virginia two days in a row, just so that they could attend both Katie's Birthday and Caroline's Baptism.  And thank you to our neighborhood friends who made time to attend Katie's birthday, for your children treating Katie special and for your husbands picking her up so she could easily go down the slide.  The picture below sums it all up, I'm grateful that my daughter can have such a smile because she's so well loved.
