Carseat Carrier

We recently sold our car seat carrier during the May 5th Yard Sale - All those memories of my two girls.  I came accross these pictures today on Facebook, all of Katie when she was really tiny, I can't imagine how I'll feel about these in ten years.

We're Pulling for YOU Bucket

Upon picking you up at school today, your teachers told me . ."it's time" . .so tomorrow off to school you'll go, go in big girl underwear.  No pull-ups . . no diapers . . .

Everyone said that it would just "click", that only you could decide when you were ready, even though we've all known you had it in you.  It was up to you and since we came home from vacation it's like a light switched on.

We are so incredibly proud of you and we're pulling for you tomorrow, we know you can do it!

Thursday, May 24th - Heading off to school

Called to check in at lunch and you're doing FABULOUS!

Farmer Family Pictures 2012

Heather's good friend and wedding photographer was nice enough to take our pictures (free of charge) on Friday.  I'm never for one to miss a family photo opportunity and I was quite happy on how these turned out!  Honestly now days, my expectations have slipped, if anyone can get a picture of one of my girls smiling I consider it a complete win!

Caroline,

While I was Indianapolis last week, I ran into a Walgreen's and happened upon this red shirt, when I saw it I couldn't help by buy it for you.  When I got home and gave you this present, your face lit up like a light bulb, "Elmo" you screamed!  Off to school you went the next day wearing it, periodically pointing to yourself and saying "Elmo!"  You're one cute cookie and are happy to shower you in all things Elmo!

We love you!

Recap of Wedding Decorations

Girls . . .you get party planning on both sides . .your mama and your Nana Nancy, WOW!   Did she do a fabulous job for your Aunt Heather's wedding!  Like I said earlier, she went above and beyond to create this special day for her daughter and I hope you inherit these fun traits from us :).  When it comes to your weddings we're going to have a BALL and your Dad's going to have a heart attack with what we'd like to spend!  I look forward to sharing that special time with you both . .but not for a long while!

Ceremony Site

Mason Jars (my contribution), lined the walk from the house to the beach, 36 of them in total.

Up close and personal, I thought they turned out great!

I was a little unsure of the color scheme, but it came together beautiful and looked amazing against the pale dune landscaping.

The long table was my favorite!
Bride and Groom's Table
The cupcakes were baked and iced by the two houses!

Wonderful Food!

Signs ordered from my co-workers wife - hung on each guest door.

Bethia United Methodist Church Spring Musical

Dress Rehearsal - I was helping out so they let Sissy be an "Honorary Bug" for the evening!

She was so happy :)

The "real deal" lining up ready to go . . .

Katie showing us how they quietly walk "one hand on the lip, the other on the hip"

Singing!

Dave said he wasn't sure what was funnier:
  • Upon getting on stage, Katie loudly announcing "Mama, I have to poop" (a couple times) until they brought her to me, we discussed it and back on stage she went.
  • Katie flashing the audience during the first song.
  • Or while watching Katie, Caroline took a tampon from my backpack and started dancing waving it in the air for all the parents to see.

Beautiful Girl

The BEST SMILE award, but of course!  For being the second youngest bug, I'm so proud of how brave you are, getting up there in front of all these people week after week.  As your Grandma Fran says, "you're a superstar."
